Should you Buy or Breed Axie?

When I joined Axie Infinity, I was thinking of starting with 3 Axies, breed it, have other people use my other Axies to do the quests then share the SLP earnings with them. Sounds like a good plan. But with the increase in players, the cost to breed these Axies became more expensive and I joined late. But it's still better to give it a go since the game is still developing.

With the increase in cost of Axie, it'll take a long time for me to earn back my initial investment. Not to mention the volatility of SLP market price. So if I hire others to use my Axie teams, it will take even longer. But it'll make me feel good that I'm helping others though. At least being able to provide a living or maybe extra cash for others in need. It can make a big difference for most people.

But back to the question. Should you buy or breed Axie? I'd say buy if you don't plan on conquering the PVP. If you just want to complete the daily quest and meet the 75 SLP reward, then you can opt for less expensive Axies since breeding takes a lot more AXS and SLP. And after the conversion and gas fees, goodness, it's expensive. But don't get me wrong, there are some less expensive Axies listed with good abilities. It just depends how you form your team. Not all pure Axies can guarantee you a win in the arena. It also depends on the player so choose wisely. 

Breeding Axies is one way to widen your team but it doesn't always guarantee the Axies will have the expected excellent abilities you want. So personally, I would just look in the marketplace first in case someone is selling the kind of Axie I want to have. Sometimes it's even sold at a much lower price. SO just keep looking.

AXS/USDT Cryptocurrency

It's amazing how fast the prices went up for AXS/USDT. If you're doing cryptocurrency, I'm guessing you have this in your portfolio.

With the boom of Axie Infinity, it's expected the price of ETH and AXS went up. A lot had been "breeding" and buying Axies to join the game. I keep wondering why I didn't start much earlier. I was so hesitant with crypto but after seeing the charts, damn. Might as well give it a try.

I was thinking if only I had invested last month in this crypto pair, my earnings would have been 15 times by now. I don't think it's too late to join in though. Axie Infinity is still developing and will have more updates and I'm looking forward to how it goes.

Not to mention how the SLP price will change. Soon it will be the 'currency' of pretty much everything in the game. Right now we're still needing ETH and AXS to buy and breed these Axies. So with SLP in the picture as well, I'm guessing its price will eventually go up. Fingers-crossed.

Axie Infinity in the Philippines: Worth Investing?

There's a lot of risk involved in cryptocurrencies but looking at how the price is on bullish trend, everyone's pretty much willing to take a shot. We're concerned how our money will turn out so suggest not to go all in, but maybe test the waters first. Cryptocurrency is definitely not for the faint-hearted. Now if you want to start, make sure you do your research and not just follow the crowd.

What's gaining popularity nowadays in the Philippines is Axie Infinity which is a play to earn NFT.

I've seen Youtube videos of a lot of success from Filipinos and am glad it's providing income to a lot of people especially amidst this pandemic. Hard times, and we're all in search of ways to make money. Now it's not cheap to join this play to earn NFT game. You'll probably need at least USD1,200 but considering there's been an increase on popularity of the game, prices are going up so you might need a little more than USD1,200. 

Now why should you invest in Axie? My take is that cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin are in bullish trend. Now the prices for those have gone up, the rest will follow. You just need to choose wisely which one's to ride on while it's still early. And one of those is Axie Infinity. Then again, it's starting to take off already.

But careful now! Know your risk appetite first. Again, crypto is not for the faint-hearted. 

Macquarie Philippines Interview Experience

I applied for a Settlements position at Macquarie (Makati, Philippines) and underwent 3 interviews before receiving a job offer.

First was the HR interview. They asked me to tell about myself and how I got to know about the position. They also asked why was I applying at their company and what do I know about the role and their organization. It was a comfortable interview and I was endorsed to the hiring managers.

For the hiring managers' interview, there were two sets. If I remember, the first one was with team leader and the second was with a manager. It should've been a single interview but the manager was not at the office so it was set for another date. I'm not sure if I'm using the correct position terms but the second one was with the boss of the team leader. Anyways, I think you get what I mean.

Questions they asked also included what HR asked - Walk them through my resume, why I'm applying for this position, why did I choose Macquarie, and so on.

They also asked why should they hire me or what makes me different from other applicants. They also asked "If for example Macquarie gave you a job offer while other companies such as JP Morgan, Deutsche, etc. also gave the same job offer for the same position, would you still accept Macquarie? If yes, why?" There's also that part where they want to know what my friends/colleagues/boss think of me, and what I think I need to improve on. They also requested for me to narrate a time I encountered a problem and how I dealt with it. Another is whether I think of myself as a team player or not and how do I go about a conflict with someone at work. The way they asked is somewhat different. You need to be quick in reading between the lines what exactly are they asking and would want to hear.

Last part was them clarifying if I'm fine with working on a shifting schedule.

In case you're wondering if I accepted the job offer, I didn't. Why? By the time they told me I passed, I already got hired by a different company and already started there. It took almost a month before I heard from them.
